A place to remember, honor, and give back
Losing a pet is losing family. Buddy's Wish is a space to grieve with dignity, build a memorial, find your people, and honor your companion through a gift to animals who still need love.
Buddy was a black Lab/Terrier mix with a white belly β his little tuxedo trademark. His warm eyes looked up with complete trust and unconditional love, the way only a dog can look at you.
He was 17 years old and truly one of the family. Always there for every moment β trick-or-treating, holidays, ordinary Tuesday evenings β Buddy was a special, irreplaceable part of the family. He spent his days close to the people he loved, exactly where he wanted to be.
When Buddy crossed the Rainbow Bridge, the grief was real, deep, and profound. Buddy's Wish was created in his honor β a space where every grieving pet owner can memorialize their companion, find comfort in community, and transform their love into a lasting gift for animals still in need.
The grief for a pet is profound and valid. There is no right way or right timeline. Whatever you're carrying right now, you don't have to carry it alone.
Give yourself full permission to feel the loss deeply. Grief is not weakness β it's love with nowhere to go. Honor it.
Putting memories into words transforms grief into something lasting and precious. Your pet's story deserves to be told.
Connect with others who truly understand β not just sympathize. Our community was built by people who've been exactly where you are.
A donation in their name helps another animal find the safety and love your pet had. Their memory lives on in that gift.
A small act of remembrance can bring immense comfort. Light a virtual candle and add your pet's name to our wall of light.
Many grief counselors specialize in pet loss. ASPCA's Pet Loss Hotline: (877) 474-3310. You deserve support.
Grief comes in waves. There's no wrong answer here β just honesty with yourself.
